The tour will kick off July 30 in Huntsville, Ala. Several more shows in the South will happen before The Wiggles take the S.S. Feathersword north for shows in the Midwest and Great Lakes states.

Shows toward the East coast will begin on August 19 in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Shows in the New England area will follow for the remainder of the month.

Although no other dates have been announced, there are plans to continue touring the U.S. beyond August.

The Wiggles will also put out a new video, also titled “Sailing Around the World,” filmed on location in cities such as Sicily and San Francisco. The video will available on July 19.

The Sailing companion CD will follow up last year’s mega-selling Yummy Yummy album.

Don’t be surprised if the new album repeats the success of its predecessor, as The Wiggles’ popularity has been skyrocketing around the world. Last month, it was reported by Business Review Weekly that The Wiggles are Australia’s highest grossing entertainers.

In the U.S., The Wiggles’ are easily the most popular childrens entertainers right now. “No one else is doing 750,000 tickets in the U.S. The only ones who compete are Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez and Metallica,” Mike Conway, The Wiggles’ GM of business affairs, told The Age of Australia.

The Wiggles are also planning on breaking the franchise into other markets around the world. They have cast a group of Chinese-speaking Wiggles for audiences in Taiwan. Conway hopes to use that cast to bring The Wiggles to the Chinese mainland.

The Wiggles are also looking into possibilities for Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia, and are currently casting for a Spanish-speaking Wiggles band in Latin America
