The new dates will bring the two roots rockers to audiences in the West and Canada as well as Texas and the Midwest in August and into September.

The second leg of the tour commences August 21st in Calgary, Alberta, after a three-week break following the conclusion of the tour’s first leg, which kicks off June 24 in Cincinnati.

The new leg includes dates at The Hollywood Bowl, Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheater, Shoreline Amphitheater in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Blossom Music Center in Cleveland.

Mellencamp, had earlier commented on the prospect of touring with Fogerty this summer, “It’s a very fulfilling situation for me to be able to go out and tour with one of my musical heroes.”

Mellencamp will induct Fogerty into the Songwriters Hall of Fame June 9 in New York.

Words & Music: John Mellencamp’s Greatest Hits will be the source of most of the repertoire Mellencamp will perform in concert this summer. He’ll also be highlighting his latest, “Walk Tall,” one of two new tracks on the Words & Music collection.

Fogerty will perform his own full set highlighting his solo hits and the songs he created and sang as part of Creedence Clearwater Revival, as well as songs from his latest album, Deja vu All Over Again.

Mellencamp and Fogerty will also perform together during the course of the show. Commenting on touring with Mellencamp, Fogerty said, “I’ve long admired John’s music since the days of little pink houses. He always brings great intensity and energy to his live performance and I’m looking forward to some rockin’ shows this summer.”
