Heading Out To The Highway
The U.S./Canada jaunt follows several dates that’ll take the hellraisers through Mexico and South America in September.
Priest announced the first leg of their tour earlier this year to promote their fifteenth studio album, Angel of Retribution, which found lead vocalist Rob Halford reunited with the band after more than 12 years.
The lineup of Halford, guitarists Glenn Tipton and K.K. Downing, bassist Ian Hill and drummer Scott Travis was in true head-banging form on their first U.S. headlining tour since the release of 1990’s Painkiller. Special guest for the first leg was Queensryche.
In the fall, Judas Priest will cover ground that was missed the first time around, which include visits to Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, New York and New Jersey throughout September and early October.
From there, the fivesome will allow fans in Canada to get a taste of their British steel with a handful of dates in late October. The group will return to the U.S. for three more dates. More are expected to follow. No support acts had been announced at press time.
