Diller’s Deals

Ticketmaster and online travel agency Expedia are no longer under the same umbrella.

Barry Diller’s IAC/InterActiveCorp decided to spin off its travel-related companies including Expedia, which should become a freestanding company by August 12th.

IAC said it will continue to own and operate its other businesses, which include HSN, Citysearch, LendingTree, Match.com, and Evite.com.

The company has also completed its purchase of Web search engine Ask Jeeves.
