Source Execs Charged In Shooting

Two executives from hip-hop magazine The Source have been charged with attempted murder following a drunken dispute at the Limerick House pub in New York City July 23rd.

The magazine’s GM, Leroy “Bum” Peeples, and salesman Alvin Childs are suspected of being involved in an argument in which three men were shot, including aspiring rapper Orlando Orenga, according to the New York Daily News.

Orenga was shot in the head but is expected to survive. The other two men were listed in stable condition at press time.

Peeples and Childs were arrested while fleeing the scene, police said, and two guns were recovered from under parked cars.

Both men pleaded not guilty, according to lawyer Mel Sachs.
