Little Milton Dies
Blues legend “Little Milton” Campbell died August 4th in Memphis, Tenn., of complications from a stroke he suffered eight days earlier.
Campbell, 70, had been scheduled to perform August 11th at the Ground Zero Blues Club in Clarksdale, Miss., as part of the blues documentary “Native Sons.”
The singer/guitarist was often compared to B.B. King and performed with The Allman Brothers Band this spring alongside the group’s Wayne Haynes. Campbell was also a frequent collaborator with Haynes’ other group, Gov’t Mule.
His last known performance was as a headliner at the North Atlantic Blues Festival July 9th in Rockland, Maine.
