Staying Dry With Brickman

Windham Hill artist Jim Brickman helped keep a wet amphitheatre show going July 23rd at Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids, Mich.

The pianist was performing during a downpour in front of about 1,450 fans when he figured out a way to ease the discomfort.

“Anyone who wants to come up here on stage with us is welcome,” Brickman told the crowd, according to the Grand Rapids Press. “I don’t want a mad rush, but if you want to stay dry, come on up.”

About 100 concert-goers who did not have rain gear reportedly joined Brickman under the bandshell, enjoying a dry, front row seat.
