Sure, they can pack thousands into a stadium in their native country and regularly sell out in California and the Southwest, but the band is seeking to prove its worth in the rest of the U.S. as well. This latest tour sees them taking on sizable theatres like Atlanta’s Earthlink Live, Seattle’s Moore Theatre and Philadelphia’s Trocadero & Balcony Bar.

The itinerary currently runs through October 2, when they’ll play the Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro, N.C.

The group released its fifth album, Cocina de mi Amor, in late May. The disc was the band’s first since 2002’s El Primer Instinto, which the band spent three years touring behind.

The latest disc features production and guitar work by Adrian Belew, who originally worked with Jaguares frontman Saul Hernandez in the band’s earlier incarnation, Caifanes.
