McCready Busted Again

Mindy McCready was arrested August 26th in Florida for violating her probation in a Tennessee drug conviction.

A Pinellas County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman said a warrant was issued August 8th for the country singer’s arrest. She is charged with leaving Tennessee without permission from her probation officer and failing to check in with the officer in July.

This is the troubled singer’s second probation violation (she was arrested in May for driving under the influence in Nashville), so she is not allowed to post bail and will likely serve jail time.

McCready pleaded guilty last year to fraudulently obtaining OxyContin at a Brentwood, Tenn., pharmacy. She was fined $4,000, placed on three years of supervised probation and ordered to perform 200 hours of community service.

Shortly after, her boyfriend, William McKnight, was charged with attempted murder for allegedly breaking into McCready’s house and beating her.

The singer spent some time in a Florida hospital in July following an apparent suicide attempt.
