With the title track from his upcoming album, Welcome To Jamrock, blowing up airwaves and bandwidth on several continents, Jr. Gong has announced a 24-date fall tour of the U.S.

The itinerary runs more than a month, from November 3 at St. Petersburg, Fla.’ Jannus Landing through December 6, when he’ll finish at The NorVa in Norfolk, Va.

Portland, Ore.’s Roseland Theatre, San Diego’s 4th & B and New York City’s Nokia Theatre Times Square are included on the schedule, along with two shows at Los Angeles’ House of Blues.

The “Welcome To Jamrock” single has created a frenzy of anticipation for Marley’s new album, which hits stores September 13. The New York Times called the track “an early contender for song of the decade.”

The song’s popularity virtually guarantees a sold-out tour, especially considering that Jr. Gong’s spring outing filled most venues to the brim.

The singer has pledged that one dollar from every ticket sold will go to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. This fall’s shows go on sale the weekend of September 17.
