Fogerty’s Fantasy Reunion

John Fogerty buried the hatchet with Fantasy Records and re-signed to the label with which he has famously feuded for years.

A few things have changed recently, though – most notably longtime Fogerty nemesis Saul Zaentz sold Fantasy earlier this year to Concord Music Group.

The signing announcement also included news that the label will release a first-time Fogerty career retrospective, The Long Road Home – The Ultimate John Fogerty Creedence Collection, which includes Creedence Clearwater Revival songs that he wrote but Fantasy owned.

“I’m very happy to be back in touch with a part of myself,” said Fogerty of what must have seemed like one of rock’s least-likely reconciliations.

“It’s surreal. For 35 years, I never thought I’d be reunited with the music I wrote during the Creedence Clearwater Revival years.”
