The tour moves to Europe and travels around the world in 2006 and 2007.

Martin’s decision to kick off his return to the stage in Latin America with the first date at Mexico City’s Auditorio Nacional shouldn’t come as a surprise. And it’s only natural for him to end the first leg of the tour in his native Puerto Rico.

“Where else could I start the tour but at home? Latin America to me is in my blood, soy boricua.” Martin said.

“Puerto Rico is my home and Latin America is very special to me for many reasons. The concept of this tour is to return to the place where it all began and be one with the audience, to be accessible, to share my music with my fans directly. We decided to go for more intimate venues than I have played in the past for one reason… to reconnect, to create a very special moment with each audience in each country and make it a night to remember.”

Una Noche Con Ricky Martin, Martin’s Latin American run, presented by Visa, will take him to 10 countries in a four week period, including Puerto Rico, Mexico, Brasil and others

Details of Martin’s continuing touring schedule for 2006 and 2007 will be announced in the coming weeks.

Martin said that a portion of the proceeds each concert ticket will be donated directly to the Ricky Martin Foundation to fund its programs, including Life for the Katrina Children Relief Fund, People for Children, RMF Tsunami Relief Fundand various other local ongoing programs in Puerto Rico and throughout Latin America.
