A Real Horror Show
The national tour will present fans with a one-a-kind event and a chance to meet the gruesome guru in the flesh.
Well known to fans of campy slasher flicks, Band is the man behind dozens of films including “Puppetmaster,” “Trancers,” “Blood Dolls,” “Decadent Evil,” and the “Subspecies” vampire series.
Each evening on the tour will feature Band and a surprise celebrity guest from past films; rare clips and behind-the-scene moments; contests; a Q&A and signing session with Band; an original puppet and doll auction; and perhaps best of all, a chance to win a part and be killed in an upcoming Full Moon feature.
There are also plans for what sounds like an R-rated, B-movie themed, trashy fashion show .
Band has been outlining the development of the road show in his blog (www.charlesband.com/blog/) and it certainly sounds like he’s taking a hands-on approach.
“I’ll be directing a short scene with 3-4 selected audience members on stage, I’ll be revealing some new and I think awesome merchandise – some of which will be for sale after the show (very limited quantity per city!), as mentioned before we’ll have several celebrity guests in each city – and much more – but you’ll have to come and see for yourself!!! And after the show I’ll stay as long as it takes to say hi to everyone and will be happy to sign anything you want signed,” he writes.
This traveling horror fest culminates in Philadelphia on Halloween where fans are required to come in costume to celebrate an extra frightful night.
