You don’t often see a full tour from Hag, and this is actually his second of the year. His six-week spring jaunt with Bob Dylan covered the length of the U.S. and was largely sold out.

The fall outing begins October 14 in Minot, N.D., at Norsk Hostfest – billed as North America’s largest Scandinavian festival. Randy Travis, Paul Anka, Charley Pride and several other not-so-Norwegian acts are also performing at the four-day fest.

Merle and his Strangers will head all the way down to Texas and Louisiana before making their way back to California. The itinerary includes shows in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Missouri, Arkansas, Arizona and, of course, Oklahoma.

The tour looks to wrap November 3 in Santa Ynez, Calif., but Hag will be back at it by the end of the month, playing Kansas City, Mo., November 27 and opening for The Rolling Stones two days later at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
