The singer/songwriter will travel the continent for nearly a month, hitting clubs like The Avalon in Hollywood, Calif., and NYC’s Bowery Ballroom before wrapping at Hartford, Conn.’s Webster Theatre November 10.

Jem played some summer dates with the Dave Matthews Band but hasn’t done a headlining tour of the U.S. since last November.

Matthews’ ATO Records is Jem’s U.S. label, having released her 2003 EP as well as her 2004 full-length debut, Finally Woken. The label grew interested after her demo reached the top 5 on KCRW’s influential “Morning Becomes Eclectic” radio show.

Hollywood Records’ up-and-comer Josh Kelley will serve as the tour’s opening act starting October 17 in Seattle.

Kelley is supporting his sophomore release, Almost Honest, which has garnered raves from such mainstream taste-makers as “Good Morning America,” Entertainment Weekly and People.

Following the North American run, Jem will head back to the U.K. and Ireland for a couple weeks of dates, including gigs in London, Glasgow, Dublin and Manchester.
