Dino DVD
The recently reunited Dinosaur Jr. has announced plans for four more shows this year, including two that will be filmed for the band’s first official DVD release.
The band’s original lineup of J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Emmett Jefferson “Murph” Murphy will film the full-length concert DVD over the course of two shows at New York City’s Irving Plaza December 2-3.
The disc will also feature interviews and behind-the-scenes footage from the band’s reunion tour, including what’s billed as “complete backstage access” – as complete as it can get from your living room, anyhow.
Gold In Berlin, a German company run by Mascis’ brother-in-law Phillip Virus, whose credits include work with Atari Teenage Riot, Alec Empire – and not surprisingly – J Mascis & The Fog, will direct the DVD.
Prior to the concert taping, Dinosaur Jr. will do a two-night stand at the Metro in Chicago November 29-30.
