The band’s U.S. tour begins October 22 in San Diego, with shows across the country for a full four weeks. After wrapping up back in California at Universal City’s Gibson Amphitheatre November 19, they’ll head north to kick off the Canadian trek in Victoria, B.C., three days later.

With shows in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, the band aims to cover as much of its homeland as possible before wrapping at the Halifax Metro Centre December 17.

Hedley is in the support slot for the Canadian tour, while Straylight Run, Plain White T’s and Paramore will open in the U.S.

Simple Plan is supporting its latest disc, Live From The Hard Rock, which was released October 4.

The band sold more than 50,000 tickets on its seven-show tour of Australia and New Zealand earlier in October, including 10,696 at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena.

The group toured China and Europe earlier this year. Upon its return to Canada in September, the band was forced to cut short a Stratford, Ontario, concert and cancel a subsequent hurricane relief appearance after singer Pierre Bouvier was hit below the eye with a glass bottle thrown from the Stratford audience.

Stratford is not on this fall’s itinerary.
