Concert, Roadies Get Techie Nods

The 21st annual Technical Excellence & Creativity Awards were handed out in NYC October 8th.

The TEC Awards run through all things audio, from sound production on television shows to mixing boards.

Eric Clapton‘s Crossroads Guitar Festival came away with trophies for remote production (for its WNET/Sirius radio broadcast) and surround sound production for its DVD.

The sound crew for U2‘s Vertigo outing got best tour sound production, and the design team of NYC’s Jazz at Lincoln Center Studio won studio design project.

Record production for a single went to the team behind Green Day‘s American Idiot while the album award went to Ray Charles OrchestraGenius Loves Company.
