A Peek Into The Art Exchange

Knitting Factory club founder Michael Dorf is producing a seven-day concert series to demonstrate the type of programming expected at his planned 900-seat New York City venue, The Art Exchange.

The series will be held November 14-20 at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center with artists including Ryan Adams, Buddy Guy, Jeff Tweedy, Aimee Mann, Ricki Lee Jones and more.

“The series is a great way to demonstrate the style of programming we plan to showcase at The Art Exchange, which will help revitalize Lower Manhattan,” Dorf said.

The venue – which will include a 900-seat concert hall, 300-seat club, restaurant, gallery and café – is scheduled to open in spring 2007.
