It’s Winter Time
Legendary blues guitarist Johnny Winter has announced a national tour in support of his latest album, the Grammy-nominated I’m A Bluesman.
The same band that played on the album – James Montgomery on harmonica, guitarist Paul Nelson, bassist Scott Spray and Wayne June on drums – will accompany Winter on the tour.
The trek will kick off with three shows in Ontario, starting in Toronto December 8. They’ll move on down to Winter’s native Texas before heading to the East Coast in January and February.
Several shows are booked for the South in May, and the band will head all the way up to Alaska for gigs in Fairbanks and Anchorage June 9-10.
Winter had to cancel a tour in 2000 due to hip surgery, but was back on the road by the following spring.
