Juan Gabriel Injured
Mexican superstar Juan Gabriel was injured during a concert at Houston’s Toyota Center November 13, prompting the postponement of a New York City show scheduled for this week.
According to the Houston Chronicle, Gabriel reportedly tripped and fell during the opening minutes of his set, apparently suffering a broken wrist and concussion.
Toyota Center reps told the paper discussions were under way to reschedule the concert.
The six-time Grammy nominee was scheduled to perform November 16 at Madison Square Garden Theatre, but that show has been postponed.
At press time, there had been no word regarding Gabriel’s other two upcoming U.S. concerts – scheduled for Fairfax, Va., November 17 and Rosemont, Ill., November 20. Both dates remain on the books at the moment.
Tickets for the Houston and NYC shows will be honored at the rescheduled dates, according to promoters.
