In New York City, My Morning Jacket, The Black Crowes and The North Mississippi Allstars will converge on Madison Square Garden for a Southern-fried New Year’s Eve celebration, while Clap Your Hands Say Yeah headlines Irving Plaza.

Widespread Panic will jam the night away at Atlanta’s Philips Arena, while Prefuse73 and Sound Tribe Sector 9 get funky down the road at the Tabernacle.

Denver’s Fillmore Auditorium will host a down-home celebration starring Yonder Mountain String Band, Drew Emmitt Band and Vince Herman.

Phil Lesh & Friends will co-headline with the John Mayer Trio at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, while Les Claypool continues his own New Year’s Eve tradition, performing at The Fillmore with The Phenomenauts opening.

Also in S.F., The Fucking Champs share the stage with Trans Am for individual sets as well as a collaborative performance (the bands have made two albums together, Trans Champs and The Fucking Am).

In Los Angeles, the Giant Village festival on Wilshire Boulevard will feature a dozen acts including Black Eyed Peas, Death Cab For Cutie, and Z-Trip.

Kanye West will hit the Aladdin Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, with local staples like David Copperfield and Celine Dion also doing their thing around town.
