V2 North America Sold

Richard Branson has sold his V2 North America label to New York-based label group Sheridan Square Entertainment and the two have formed a “global partnership,” according to a statement announcing the new company.

Details of the sale were not disclosed. V2 will continue to function under its name and Sheridan will be the international licensee for releases.

V2 is home to The White Stripes, Moby, and Dogs Die In Hot Cars, to name a few. Sheridan’s stable of record labels includes Artemis, Vanguard and Tone-Cool.
