APA Plans Next Move

The Agency For The Performing Arts is movin’ on up, buying a bigger HQ in Southern California and expanding into New York City.

The company has purchased real estate in pricy Beverly Hills and will move from its leased headquarters in West Hollywood between July and August.

“We own our building in Nashville and we decided, as we’ve been in business for 44 years, that it was time to own our own building in Beverly Hills,” APA prexy Jim Gosnell told Pollstar. “We’re going to almost double the size of the company in Beverly Hills. At the same time, although sooner, we’re opening a New York office.”

The Beverly facility was reportedly purchased somewhere in the low- to mid-eight figures. Since “business has been terrific,” APA is planning to add to its 42-agent / 94-employee team and needs more space.

Following a building overhaul, the company will move to the new digs at 404 S. Beverly Drive, Beverly Hills, CA 90212.

The NYC location is expected to open in early January. The agency also plans to increase staff in NYC but the hiring process is still in the works.
