Stones Have Eclectic Taste In Openers
Canadian rocker Anik Jean will kick off 2006 for the Stones at Bell Centre in Montreal on January 10. The Great White North’s pop/rock hitmakers Sloan are on the bill at TD Banknorth Garden/ inBoston on January 13 and 15.
Electro-rock outfit Metric will play Madison Square Garden in NYC on January 18 and 20, while all-female Antigone Rising performs at the United Center/Chicago on January 23 and 25 as well the Mariner Arena in Baltimore on February 1.
Soulive brings the funk to the Savvis Center in St. Louis on January 27. Country superstars Brooks & Dunn will open at the Qwest Center in Omaha on January 29.
Queens of the Stone Age join the lineup at MGM Grand in Las Vegas on March 4 and at the Forum in Los Angeles on March 6.
The legendary Merle Haggard has the honor at Alltel Arena in Little Rock on March 9, and the grandfathers of New Orleans funk, The Meters, have been confirmed for the March 12 performance in Ft. Lauderdale.
