Tom Jones Knighted

Tom Jones became Sir Tom Jones December 31st as a new Member of the Order of the British Empire.

Joining the 65-year-old Welsh singing phenom is jazz musician John Dankworth. Also, punk fashion creator and designer Vivienne Westwood will be given the title of Dame.

Jones is the latest addition to the pop-rock list of knights, which includes Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John, Sir Mick Jagger, and Beatles producer Sir George Martin.
