Handover In The Hills

Among those affected by the Live Nation spin-off from Clear Channel Communications are smaller festivals and venues, including the site of “Jamboree in the Hills,” a country music festival near Morristown, Ohio.

Live Nation now owns the 214-acre festival site through a new holding company, FFX Jamboree Holdings LLC.

The festival has yet to book acts for its 30th anniversary event July 13-16, but tickets are already on sale and county officials told the Morristown Times Leader the festival will go forward as planned.

Belmont County Commissioner Mark Thomas told the paper, however, that talks are under way with Live Nation to purchase the Capitol Music Hall in nearby Wheeling, W.Va., which reportedly has seen layoffs in the wake of Live Nation’s ongoing restructuring.

A Live Nation representative was unavailable at press time.
