TM Improvements For Disabled

The U.S. Justice Department announced a settlement agreement with Ticketmaster December 22nd that will make the company’s services more accessible for people with disabilities.

Under the agreement, TM agents will be available during system operations – which is approximately 22 hours a day – to enable accessible seating purchases via telephone or e-mail.

The company has also agreed to improve communications to promptly inform customers when accessible seating has run out, and that additional seating might be available from the venue.

“We share the Department of Justice’s desire that all persons with disabilities have fair and equitable access to the event tickets allocated by our clients for sale via Ticketmaster,” the company told Pollstar.

In addition, TM will designate a disability coordinator, and continue efforts to develop a system to sell accessible seating directly on its Web site.
