Mystikal Tax Fraud

In addition to currently serving six years in prison for sexual battery, Jive Records rapper Mystikal will serve one of them for also trying to avoid $271,000 in taxes.

U.S. District Judge James Brady decided to combine the tax fraud sentence with Mystikal’s 2004 sexual battery sentence.

Mystikal, whose real name is Michael Tyler, pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of failing to file tax returns on $824,916 he earned in 1998 and for $930,953 in 1999.

The judge also ordered him to pay back taxes and additional penalties.
