Bon Jovi’s Not-So-Great Day

A jet carrying the members of Bon Jovi and its tour staff made a rough landing in Canada January 21st when the pilot landed in heavy rain and the plane went skidding off the runway.

The Boeing 707 arrived at Hamilton International Airport at about 1 a.m. for the group’s concerts at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre during its “Have A Nice Day” tour.

About 14 people were on the jet when heavy rain caused it to overshoot the runway and end up in the mud. No one was injured but it took a while for airport crews to move the jet off the runway.

A statement on bonjovi.com said the landing was “a bit of a scare for all” but the scheduled January 21st concert and two others would go as planned.
