Live Emergency Landing

Three members of Live were aboard a plane that made an emergency landing January 29th after reports of smoke in the plane’s cabin.

The three band members on board – guitarists Chad Taylor and Adam Kowalczyk and bassist Patrick Dahlheimer – were returning to Pennsylvania after a Saturday night show in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The band had finished a nine-date tour of Canada opening for Nickelback.

The flight from Chicago to Harrisburg, Pa., carried 37 passengers and three crew members. The plane returned to O’Hare International Airport about 40 minutes after its 1 p.m. takeoff. It landed safely and there were no injuries reported, a United Airlines Express representative said.

Some passengers said they were not informed of the nature of the problem that caused the landing.

“No one knew anything,” Taylor told Harrisburg, Pa.,’s Patriot-News.
