Tower Back On The Block

Tower Records has reportedly hired investment banking firm Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin to find a buyer for the 90-unit chain headquartered in Sacramento, Calif.

The reported sale comes just two years after Tower emerged from a Chapter 11 reorganization in U.S. Bankruptcy Court and a previous attempt to find a buyer.

Tower has since added and expanded some stores as well as stepped up marketing efforts, but its holiday sales numbers were rumored to be disappointing.
