High Hopes
NYC singer/songwriter Regina Spektor has a 13-date “warm-up tour” booked across North America this April and May.
What’s she warming up for, you ask? Why, her new album, of course. Begin To Hope, the follow-up to her Soviet Kitsch debut, is set for a June 13 release on Sire Records.
The Russian-born, Bronx-bred musician will kick off her spring tour dates April 8 in Montreal. She’ll make stops in a dozen more cities over the next five weeks, wrapping at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles May 16.
More dates are to be confirmed, according to a press release.
Spektor headlined a number of gigs last year, including a sold-out September show at NYC’s Irving Plaza, and also spent time opening for Keane and Rufus Wainwright.
