Three 6 Wanted For Questioning
Oscar-winning rap group
The lawsuit, filed on behalf of Ramone Williams, claims he was beaten by concertgoers during the Memphis-based group’s performance at the now-defunct Rock Jungle nightclub in Pittsburgh.
Williams, 19 at the time, claims he was thrown to the floor, hit with a chair, stomped on and kicked in the face. He suffered two fractures of his jaw among his injuries.
The suit accuses club officials of neglecting to warn or protect patrons from violence and of allowing someone underage into the building.
Three 6 members Jordan “Juicy J” Houston, Paul “D.J.” Beauregard and Cedric Coleman are accused of neglecting to warn patrons of potential violence, inciting a riot and failing to stop the violence.
Williams’ lawyer, James DePasquale, said he expects the performers to answer subpoenas by the end of April. A trial date could be set for November.
The group’s attorney, John Hall, declined to discuss the case but said his clients deny the accusations.
Three 6 Mafia won this year’s original song Oscar for “It’s Hard Out Here for a Pimp” from the movie “Hustle & Flow.”
