Look Forward, Neil Young Says

At the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas, keynote speakers Neil Young and filmmaker Jonathan Demme discussed the documentary “Neil Young: Heart Of Gold.”

At one point, Young said his advice to younger artists was to always look forward and, as an example, said he recently fired a concert promoter that wanted to bill a tour as “Neil Young’s Greatest Hits.”

Management had no comment, and Pollstar was unable to identify the promoter.
