The tour, presented by VH1 Classic and Live Nation, will run for more than two months, finishing August 31 at the White River Amphitheatre near Seattle.

More dates are to be added, according to a press release.

Both bands performed steadily from June through November of last year on separate tours.

“Only six months between tours for Def Leppard … this is amazing … WOW. I think we’re getting the hang of this!” Def Leppard’s Phil Collen said. “Usually, we always have to redefine and reorient ourselves to touring as we are used to a three-year gap between tours because of the recording process. This time, we had the album in the can so we are good to go.”

Journey’s Jonathan Cain called Def Leppard “a band I’ve admired for a long time.”

“We’re honored to be performing with a band that received their Diamond Award (given for 10,000,000 albums sold) at the same ceremony when we received our Diamond Award,” Cain said. “So it seems fitting that we go out together after all these years and celebrate a lot of good years of rock and roll.”
