Gersh Goes Sports

The Gersh Agency has announced the formation of Gersh Sports, a division that will focus on the development of professional athletes’ presence in film, TV and other digital media.

The announcement came with the talent agency’s acquisition of boutique Beverly Hills sports and management firm Steve Feldman & Associates. Feldman’s client list includes the NFL’s Corey Dillon and Rodney Harrison of the New England Patriots, and the San Diego Chargers’ Lorenzo Neal.

Feldman will serve as senior VP of Gersh Sports. He will focus his efforts on recruiting new clients and negotiating player contracts and other opportunities. Former NFL cornerback Toi Cook will reside as senior VP of business development, and sports manager Josh Luchs will work closely with the two.

“My clients enthusiastically support this move because they realize that a tightly integrated sports and entertainment organization like Gersh will provide more and better opportunities in all areas of media, marketing and entertainment,” Feldman said in a statement.

Gersh Agency COO/CFO Hugh Dodson, a chief architect of the new division, said the agency intends to strategically expand its services beyond football into other team and individual sports and all areas of sports representation.
