Slowhand At Red Square
Eric Clapton will wrap his summer-long European tour with his first-ever appearance at Moscow’s Red Square.
The historic Russian site hosted a Live 8 concert last year and has also featured recent concerts by Paul McCartney, Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti.
The August 3 show will include an opening performance by the Robert Cray Band, which is touring with Clapton throughout the summer.
Slowhand’s European tour is to take in 14 countries, starting May 5 in Le Cannet, France. The May U.K. leg includes seven nights at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
