Bocephus Issued Warrant

Hank Williams Jr. surrendered to Memphis police April 6th on a warrant for an alleged assault of a hotel waitress last month.

Publicist Kirt Webster said Williams had left the city day to go on a hunting trip before being notified of the warrant.

Webster said the singer doesn’t know what incident prompted the woman’s accusations or what the charges are.

The country star is accused of assaulting 19-year-old Holly Hornbeak March 18th while she was waiting tables at the Hotel Peabody where the country star was staying. Hornbeak claims witnesses saw Williams cuss at her, try to kiss her, put her in a chokehold and lift her off the ground.

Williams was staying at the Peabody because two of his daughters were being treated at a nearby hospital for injuries they sustained when the SUV they were riding in flipped over on a Mississippi highway. He and his family have since moved to another hotel to avoid publicity.
