Officer Cleared In Pepper Spraying

Six months after an off-duty cop used pepper spray on G-Unit member The Game‘s entourage at a mall, internal affairs detectives have cleared the officer of any wrongdoing.

The dispute began at a shopping center in Greensboro, N.C., after mall police asked The Game (real name: Jayceon Taylor) to remove a mask he was wearing, according to the city’s News-Record.

Mall police, who were working off-duty, called for backup when the rapper and entourage refused to leave the shopping center. The officer, who remains unnamed, used pepper spray on the group as eight of the rapper’s associates surrounded cops who were cuffing Taylor.

The rapper, a protegé of 50 Cent, was scheduled to perform that night at Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem.

Police told the paper the use of pepper spray was deemed “reasonable.”
