Tool Time
Tool will embark on a theatre tour this May before spending several months on the European circuit in support of its forthcoming album.
Following an appearance at Coachella April 30, the band will play close to three weeks’ worth of North American gigs. The trek starts with Seattle’s Paramount Theatre May 2, the same day Tool’s fourth album, 10,000 Days, hits stores.
Detroit’s Fox Theatre, Minneapolis’ Orpheum Theatre, and New York’s City Center are all on the itinerary, with two shows planned at the latter venue. The tour will finish at Boston’s Wang Center May 21.
When Tool last toured in 2002, the group played to dozens of packed arenas with openers including Meshuggah and Tomahawk.
The band’s European schedule includes a number of major festivals as well as arena dates across Germany, Italy and more.
10,000 Days is the follow-up to 2001’s double-platinum Lateralus.
