Ride Management Splits

Los Angeles-based has dissolved, leaving two newly formed companies in its wake: Shmanagement and Modern Artist Management.

Asif Ahmed, formerly of Ride, has set up L.A.-based Shmanagement. The company will represent Yeah Yeah Yeahs, …and you will know us by the trail of dead, The Icarus Line, Lavender Diamond and others.

Another L.A.-based company, Modern Artist Management, has also formed out of Ride.

Managers Les Borsai, Blaine Kaplan, Brian Klein, Mark Salyer, Justin King and Janice Gaffney will represent acts including Unwritten Law, Peaches, Scott and Aimee, Moving Units, and Gilly Leads.
