‘High Fidelity’ On Broadway

Three of the Top Five reasons why “High Fidelity” is still cool: 1) The 2000 film starring John Cusack based on the Nick Hornby novel about a lovelorn record store owner is classic. 2) It helped launch Jack Black’s movie career. 3) Now the movie/novel is a musical, hitting Broadway in December.

The $10 million production doesn’t have a cast yet, but will be directed by Walter Bobbie and produced by the team behind the Tony Award-winning “Avenue Q.”

The show has a tryout run planned September 26th through October 22nd at Boston’s Colonial Theatre.
