Another Planet To Manage Oakland Fox

Oakland, Calif., city officials have tentatively chosen Another Planet Entertainment to manage the city’s Fox Theatre following the historic venue’s restoration.

Officials have secured $41 million of the estimated $45 million needed to reopen the 78-year-old venue as part of a city revitalization project, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Another $20 million could be needed to repair damage from water leaks and a fire set by trespassers last year.

Renovation is expected to begin in August, the paper said.
