Spector Trial Postponed

The much delayed murder trial of “Wall of Sound” producer Phil Spector was postponed again April 25th, with a judge setting a new date of January 16, 2007.

The producer’s trial in the murder of actress Lana Clarkson had been set for September 11th, but at a hastily called hearing Superior Court Judge Larry Fidler told attorneys he had scheduled two trials for the same time in September and had decided to try the other case first, according to district attorney’s spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons.

Spector is accused of killing Clarkson in his Alhambra, Calif., mansion on February 3, 2003.

He remains free on $1 million bail.
