– featuring Young and finalists Casey Rivers, Nicole Jamrose, and Matt Mason – starts July 7 in Alabama. The singers will be backed by the Nashville Star Band from the television series.

The 20-year-old singer was chosen by viewers May 2. Vote totals weren’t immediately announced.

Young won a recording contract with the RCA Label Group, plus other prizes, including an appearance on the Grand Ole Opry.

Even before hitting the big time on TV, Young had been performing in front of live audiences. He’s opened for Ronnie Milsap, Tracy Lawrence, Lonestar, Tracy Byrd, Cowboy Crush, and others. He’s also released two CDs on his own.

The finalists were chosen from 10 contestants culled from tens of thousands of hopefuls during a nationwide talent search.

Wynonna and Cowboy Troy hosted the show’s fourth season. Phil Vassar was one of the judges.

The USA Network series, which combines elements of reality TV with a talent competition, has launched the recording careers of Buddy Jewell and Miranda Lambert.
