Diddley & Friends
Tireless rocker Bo Diddley has added an eight-week U.S. tour to his 2006 plans.
Following a series of European festival dates in July and an East Coast run in August, the 77-year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Famer will kick off a 36-date stretch September 21 in Saratoga, Calif.
Touring under the banner of “Bo Diddley & Friends,” the veteran rocker will be accompanied by Alvin Youngblood Hart and Ruthie Foster.
They’ll visit performing arts centers across the country, starting with a lengthy West Coast run and focusing extensively on the South and East Coast.
The tour will run through November 12, finishing up at Jacoby Symphony Hall in Jacksonville, Fla.
