Eric Clapton, who last landed Stateside for a Cream reunion tour, will return to the U.S. with his own band for a fall tour.
The outing begina September 16 in Minneapolis and will travel to 13 U.S. states plus two Canadian shows in Toronto and Ottawa, along with two nights at Madison Square Garden in NYC. The Robert Cray Band will open on all dates. Additional shows will be announced shortly.
The 2006 tour band gets some additional guitar power from Doyle Bramhall II and Derek Trucks.
The 61-year-old rock legend is on a European tour and wraps a seven-night run at London’s Royal Albert Hall on May 26. The tour ends with a show in Moscow’s Red Square August 3. The shows have included both old classics and songs from his 2005 disc, Back Home.
