British quartet Bloc Party will bring its frenzied brand of post-punk to North America twice this summer.
The group will play Toronto’s Olympic Island with Broken Social Scene, Feist and others June 24, then appear at Chicago’s Intonation Festival the following day. They’ll be back a month later for East Coast dates in Boston and Brooklyn, followed by four shows in California and one in Mexico City.
The band will also play two shows in Texas, finishing up in Austin August 10.
They’ll have a few days to rest back home before hitting the U.K.’s twinned V Festivals in Chelmsford and Staffordshire August 19-20.
Bloc Party plans to follow its 2005 debut, Silent Alarm, with a new studio album this fall.
