The singer/pianist, who was named best new artist at this year’s Juno Awards, will finish his Euro run with a five-date U.K. stretch in mid-June. The Stateside jaunt will launch a month later at Philadelphia’s Theater Of The Living Arts July 17.

A dozen gigs are booked, including theatres in New York City, Boston, Chicago and Seattle. He’ll wrap with two nights at West Hollywood’s Roxy Theatre August 4-5.

Earlier this year, the British Columbia-born musician toured with fellow Canuck Bryan Adams. Powter also visited the U.K. in December and performed at Live 8 in Berlin last July.

His single “Bad Day” was used as the closing theme for “American Idol” this year, and he performed the tune on the show’s season finale in May.
